This Privacy Policy explains how Marian-Silviu Anescu (“we”, “us”, or “our”) processes information in connection with the MiaLoo mobile application (“MiaLoo” or the “App”), our support communications, and the related public pages linked from the App Store or Google Play listing.

MiaLoo is an educational app intended to be used by families. Some areas of the App may be explored free of charge. Access to paid content is protected by a parental gate before any billing page is shown.

2. Information we may process

2.1 Information collected automatically

When MiaLoo is installed or used, we and our service providers may receive limited technical and event-based information needed to operate, measure, secure, and improve the App and its distribution. Depending on the device, operating system, platform rules, and service configuration, this may include:

app install, first open, app open, and similar app event timestamps;
basic app activity information, such as which app mode was opened or whether a paywall or locked item was viewed;
purchase-related events, including whether a monthly subscription or lifetime purchase was completed and the associated currency and value necessary for revenue measurement;
device and app metadata such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, country or region, time zone, approximate network information, and platform-generated attribution data;
identifiers and attribution signals made available by the platform or SDK configuration, where permitted by the operating system and app settings.

We do not require children to create an account in order to use MiaLoo.

2.2 Information you provide directly

If you contact support, we may receive the information you choose to include in your message, such as your email address, device details, screenshots, or the content of your request.

2.3 Payment information

All payments are processed by Apple or Google through the in-app purchase systems of the relevant app store. We do not receive or store your full payment card data.

3. Why we use information

to provide and maintain the App;
to protect the App, prevent abuse, and keep the service functioning correctly;
to understand installs, app opens, subscription starts, purchases, and similar events;
to measure the performance of marketing campaigns and understand which advertising channels led to installs or purchases;
to analyze aggregate or event-based app usage trends and improve the user experience;
to respond to support requests and exercise legal rights;
to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations.

4. Third-party service providers and SDKs

MiaLoo may use selected third-party services to measure app installs, understand app usage, and evaluate whether advertising campaigns are effective. These services may process limited technical data and app events in accordance with their own terms and privacy notices.

We use these services to understand campaign performance and optimize distribution of MiaLoo. We do not require children to submit names, phone numbers, or email addresses to access the core app experience.

5. Parental gate and family safeguards

MiaLoo includes a parental gate before any billing page or purchase flow is shown. Locked content cannot be purchased directly from the child-facing interface. The parental gate uses an age-appropriate check designed to require adult participation before access to subscription or purchase screens.

6. Children and family use

MiaLoo is designed as a family educational experience. We seek to limit data collection to what is reasonably needed for app operation, security, support, purchases, attribution, and campaign measurement. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal contact details in order to use the core educational content.

If you believe a child provided personal information to us directly through support or otherwise, contact us at assistance.mialoo@outlook.com and we will review the request.

7. Legal bases

Where applicable, we process information on one or more of the following legal bases:

performance of our contract with you, such as providing access to the App and premium content;
our legitimate interests, such as securing the App, understanding app performance, improving the service, and measuring campaign effectiveness in a proportionate way;
compliance with legal obligations;
your consent, where consent is required under applicable law.

8. Data retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including support, legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and record-keeping needs.

9. International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence.

Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards under applicable data protection laws, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or adequacy decisions.
